IU and Kang Hanna formed a bond through SBS drama ‘Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo,’ which aired from August to November 2016. At that time, IU played the female lead, Hae Soo, from the 10th century Goryeo Dynasty, while Kang Hanna portrayed Princess Yeonhwa.
Since then, the two have continued their friendship by sending snacks to each other’s filming sets and going on dates. Especially, Kang Hanna always attends IU’s concerts.
